Abstract
This thesis aims to compare ARKit and ARCore frameworks in the context of iOS development of augmented reality mobile applications, including the supported rendering frameworks in the comparison. The purpose of using augmented reality in mobile development is explored, followed by examining the ARKit and ARCore frameworks' capabilities. The rendering frameworks are researched as well. Zadání práce
1. Examine the motivation for using augmented reality in the context of mobile development.
2. Analyze and research the capabilities of ARKit and ARCore frameworks separately with focus on available rendering frameworks of 3D content.
3. Propose comparison criteria based on the analysis and the specifics of mobile app development (consider for instance various performance attributes and other quality criteria of an app) and select those that shall be demonstrated on a mobile app.
4. Design and implement a mobile application to support the selected comparison criteria, which shall be evaluated with the help of the application.
5. Present and discuss comparison outcomes.
