Soubor cestopisných reportáží z České republiky je praktická neboli tvůrčí bakalářská práce. První polovina názvu práce se českému čtenáři může zdát být s druhou polovinou názvu v kontrastu, protože cestopisnou reportáž mají čtenáři spojenou spíše s exotikou a vůní dálek než se svou vlastí. Autorka práce ale sdílí názor norského mediálního teoretika i praktika Jo Bech-Karlsena, že „exotičnost lze najít stejně ve vlastním městě jako v cizí zemi,“ a tak se chce ve své bakalářské práci pokusit překonat stereotyp dálky spojený s žánrem cestopisné reportáže. Jejím cílem je napsat čtivé cestopisné reportáže z domova, tedy České republiky. Bakalářská práce je sice praktická, ale neobejde se bez teoretického rámce. První teoretická část je věnována vymezení žánru mediálními odborníky, odbornou literaturou. Druhá pak vymezení žánru přímo reportéry pracujícími pro cílové médium, měsíčník Lidé a Země. V předposlední části teoretického rámce bakalářské práce je popsáno cílové médium a publikum, pro které jsou reportáže psány, v poslední části pak autorka popisuje kontext celého souboru i jednotlivých reportáží. V praktické části bakalářské práce čtenář nalezne kromě samotných pěti reportáží také nezbytnou autorskou odbornou reflexi napsaných reportáží.

A collection of travel reports from the Czech Republic is a practical that is creative bachelor thesis. The first half of the name of this work might sound in contrast with the other to the Czech reader as travel reports are more associated with exotic countries and far-away places in minds of most readers than with their motherland. Nevertheless, the author share the opinion of the Norwich theorist and practitioner Jo Bech-Karlsen that: “exoticness can be found in the foreign countries as well as in our town,” and therefore wants to overcome the stereotype of distance connected with the travel report genre. The goal set by the author in this work is to write readable travel reports from the home country that is the Czech Republic. Although the bachelor thesis is practical it will not be without a theoretical frame. The first theoretical part is dedicated to the specification of the genre by media specialists and specialized literature. The second part deals with specification of the genre right by reporters who work for the target medium, the monthly magazine Lidé a Země. In the penultimate part of the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is described the target medium and audience for which the reports are written. In the last part the author describes context of the whole collection and of the individual reports. In the practical section of the bachelor thesis a reader can find not only the individual five reports but author’s technical reflection of the written reports as well.
