As debates about climate change and climate action are evolving, the need to recognize the narratives of both sides of the debate is rising. The concept of climate change has been gradually translating from the field of science into public and political debates. The Paris Agreement and following steps towards decarbonisation and energy transition influenced the public perception on climate action differently in various ways, often dividing the society into several opinion streams, further articulated through the media. The Czech Republic with its coal based economy is no exception. This work focuses on revealing the discourse coalitions emerging within the climate change debate in the Czech Republic with the main focus on the notion of climate delayism. With the focus on the discursive layer, the aim is to reveal the presence of climate delayism concepts in the discourse, together with identifcation of actors and possible coalitions articulating these concepts in the media.
