Course objectives
Student after successful completing of the subject: - understands the basic legal concepts, institutes and principles - interprets the legal prescriptions - analyzes the legal system and its functions - categorizes the beginning set of knowledge that is indispensable for the study of positive legal subjects - uses the general legal terminology - has a good fundamental for legal thinking and for work with legal texts.
Syllabus
  • Practical exercises from the sphere: Methodological issues and the topic of theory of law. Sources of law. Legal norm, structure and kinds. Operation of legal norms (personal, territorial, temporal, material). Application of law. Interpretation of law. System of law and legal liability.

Assessment methods
For gaining of the colloquium it is necessary to show the practical knowledge and application and interpretation of law. Students must be presented at the practical discussion classes, including the written assignments and oral and written test.
