Course objectives

"Carmina Burana" is the most significant, most popular and popularized collection of the secular poetry of the Latin Middle Ages. Knowing of this collection is necessary for getting an idea of this literary genre.

Samostatná domácí četba, kolokvium ověří schopnost porozumění textu (jazykově i věcně), přízvučná poezie (vagantská strofa a další útvary).

Výše v oddíle "Literatura" uveden (vlastně jen pro informaci o základní edici) pouze jeden svazek edice Hilka-Schumann, existují další svazky! Čteme spíše z dvojjazyčného (lat.-něm.) přetisku textu této edice s poznámkami a kritickým komentářem, který doplnil B. Boschoff, překlad C. Fischer, pozn. a doslov G. Berndt, Mnichov 1979, 5. vyd. 1991.
