Preliminary requirements include the basic understanding of harmony a musical form.

Course objectives
At the end of this course, the students should gain the orientation in the history of the 20th-century music, especially regarding the stylistic and compositional developments in their relationships to other artistic and cultural phenomena. They will learn to identify the musical styles on the structural level and will learn to understand the individual poetics of leading composers.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to recognize and analyze various stylistic tendencies and musical forms of the 20th century.

Teaching methods
The condition for obtaining credit of the listening seminar is the submission of the analytical work containing references and sources in the range of 5 standard pages to the submission folder in the IS. The theme of the work is an individually selected composition from the list of compulsory compositions.
Assessment methods
The course is not implemented in the framework of mass contact teaching. It is recommended to consult the concept of the work with teachers during the semester.
