Course objectives (in Czech)
The main aim of this course is to briefly intorduce the History of the Central Europe from Middle Ages till 20th Century. The very important part of the course will be devoted to the events of 20th Century – esp. World War I and II, Central Europe after World War II and the establishment of Socialism in the Central Europe, Socialisms, Fall of the Iron Curtain, Central Europe and EU.

  • Phenomenon of Central Europe, briefly Middle Ages and Early Modern Period and Central Europe.
  • Long 19th Century and Central Europe.
  • WWI and Central Europe after WWI.
  • Between Wars (Central Europe).
  • WWII and Central Europe after WWII
  • 1950´s and Central Europe
  • Midterm test
  • 1950´s and Central Europe
  • 1960´s and Central Europe
  • 1970´s and Central Europe
  • 1980´s and Central Europe
  • 1990´s and Central Europe
  • Final Test
  • A midterm test and a final test will be announced in the course of the semester.
