Course objectives
European Law for Economists I, II (EPEI, EPII) The course provides a comprehensive overview of European Communities (the European Union) from the point of view of their institutional structure and law that serve as regulating tools. It includes the following four areas: 1. institutional law (origin, structure, supranational character of the EC and EU), 2. Community law as an autonomous rule of law, its relation to international law and particularly to the legislation of member countries. 3. legal form of the internal market and individual policies within the EC, 4. legal issues of accession and future membership of the CR. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars, a seminar paper. Examination: written and oral.
