- At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- understand and explain the theory of the insurance market and clarify the investment activities of insurance institutions and their instruments;
- clarify the regulation of the insurance market;
- characterize an insurance market in the Czech Republic and the Single EU insurance market and analyze both of them;
- analyze segments and subjects of the Czech insurance market, the current division of the insurance market by commercial insurance companies and indicators evaluating the performance of the market. - Syllabus

Requirements for admission to the exam:
Submission of seminar papers (referred to as POT) with the assessment passed, otherwise (assessment failed) a student will not be admitted to the exam.
The exam has a written form.
The final mark is made up of the result of an exam test (maximum 10 points), and possibly also of the assessment of the seminar paper (a bonus of up to 1 point).
Grading scale:
A: 90 - 100% (9 - 10 points),
B: 85 - 89% (8.5 - 8.9 points),
C: 75 - 84% (7.5 - 8.4 points),
D: 70 - 74% (7.0 - 7.4 points),
E: 60 - 69% (6.0 - 6.9 points),
F: less than 60% (less than 6 points).
If a student commits a prohibited act, such as using various forbidden tools (e.g. cheatsheets), cribbing, taking out any part of the test or any other form of cheating, the teacher is allowed to interrupt the test and to grade the student with F, FF or even FFF, according to the seriousness of the offence. The described procedure applies to all the activities that are included in the final evaluation of the course (semester paper). - Language of instruction
