Students will be introduced to basic sociological concepts that are relevant for understanding the function of complex market societies. The lectures will also include concepts of social organization and institutions, culture and symbolic communication, social stratification and inequality and transition to post-industrial society. The lectures will emphasize the ability of students to see the market life from a broader frame of reference.
