Course objectives
This course aims to enable you
to develop a critical understanding of the notion of Intercultural Business Communication and
to locate this within a range of cross-cultural business settings.
to become competent in dealing with cultural differences in real life business situations.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course students should have a critical awareness of:
- a range of competing theories to explain the notion of culture
- a range of strategic factors (business, intercultural, communication) that can affect intercultural business communication
- a range of theoretical approaches underpinning specific cultural behaviours
