- Course objectives
- 1. Enable students to independently process and model financial data using Power BI. 2. Develop the ability to analyze and visualize key financial metrics and results. 3. Strengthen students' competence in data storytelling and presenting insights to management.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. Work independently in the Power BI environment and navigate its core functionalities. 2. Clean, transform, and model financial data from various sources. 3. Build effective data models using dimensions, relationships, and hierarchies. 4. Use DAX to create calculated columns and measures, including time-based analytics. 5. Design and implement clear and interactive visualizations of financial indicators. 6. Interpret data analysis results in a financial context. 7. Develop a comprehensive dashboard for financial data reporting. 8. Apply principles of data storytelling when presenting results to management. 9. Critically evaluate the quality of visualizations and data interpretations. 10. Apply acquired skills to real-world financial and controlling scenarios.
