Course objectives
Bond Analysis (C_KFANDL) The aim of this course is to explain the basic concepts and guide the students so that they can understand bonds as a kind of security negotiable on capital markets: duration and convexity of bonds. Topics covered include: bond pricing, gross price, net price, tax; bond duration, deriving the relation for duration, modified duration, dollar duration; convexity, deriving the basic relation, its importance and utilization, percentage and dollar convexities. The course also explains bond utilization, its legal forms. The course provides solutions of practical tasks, such as calculations of duration and convexity. Credit requirements: solving assigned tasks. Examination: written and oral.

  • Osnova: 1. Ekonomické pojetí dluhopisů a jejich význam 2. Základy oceňování dluhopisů výnos, současná hodnota, čistá současná hodnota 3. Durace dluhopisů a její využití při řízení aktiv a pasiv komerční banky 4. Konvexita dluhopisů a její význam 5. Specifické formy dluhopisů 6. Obchodování s dluhopisy na trhu ČR a ve vyspělých zemích
