No prior knowledge or experience in research is required to take this course and as such, the course is for all students in the AHE programme.

Abstract
The course provides support to students working on their diploma thesis assignment. There is only one lecture organized in the semester to advise students in their research and explain requirements for diploma thesis. The student must demonstrate the ability to work independently in understanding of the relevant scholarly literature and the ability to analyze the issue under study. Students are encouraged to discuss their thesis research assignments regularly with their supervisors, experts and other MUNI members.
Learning outcomes
Feedback to student´s presentation of thesis research project in the class. At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- formulate thesis objectives and set proper research goals,
- choose relevant methods to work up the thesis,
- identify and summarize relevant information and literature sources.
Key topics
The course is designed as students’ individual consultations with their supervisors with respect to the finalization of the official diploma thesis assignment.
Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
The course provides support to students working on their diploma thesis assignment. There is only one lecture organized in the semester to advise students in their research and explain requirements for diploma thesis.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
There are two conditions to pass the course:
1. Student shall present thesis research project in the class to obtain feedback from senior researchers.
2. Student shall upload thesis project draft into Homework Vaults. Thesis supervisor has right to demand additional materials from student.
