  • The aim of this course is to give an overview of computational methods used in chemical and biological research.
  • NP-hard problems in computational chemistry. Molecular mechanics and dynamics. Global optimization methods. Ab initio and semi-empirical computations.
  • Pedigree analysis, genetic counseling.
  • Algorithms for nucleic acids and protein sequence analysis. Human Genome Mapping Project. Phylogenetic trees of natural evolution.
