MB021/02: Tue 8:00–9:50 G125 - Prerequisites
- Elementary mathematical culture.
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
- fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- there are 9 fields of study the course is directly associated with, display
- Course objectives
- The students will deepen their understanding of basic algebraic structures and will master concrete algorithms mainly concerning polynomials.
- Syllabus
- Basic properties of monoids, groups and rings. Algorithms for calculating with polynomials.
- Literature
- Sets of appropriate problems at www.math.muni.cz/~polak
- Teaching methods
- With the help of an instructor, the students solve various problems, mainly practical ones. Also certain theoretical problems are considered.
- Assessment methods
- For a credit, one needs an active participation at seminars (maximum 3 missed), a success by the final test taking one hour consisting of two rather algorithmic problems (a half of possible points is needed).
- Language of instruction
- Czech
- Further comments (probably available only in Czech)
