- Course objectives
- The lecture is overseen by the supervisor in collaboration with student's supervisor. The objective of this lecture is to connect student's individual research activity with a wider context of general research in the area of computer networks. Individual themes will target important areas of actual research, as protocols (at different levels of the ISO OSI model, from optical layer to application oriented protocols), networks as large scale distributed systems (coordination of distributed resources, planning and scheduling in distributed environment etc.), network organization (peer to peer, sensor) etc. Students will work independently on concrete themes that will be selected after consultation with the supervisor. Regular consultations will be available for students. When appropriate, the themes will be selected to support team work and collaboration, taking into account student's dissertation theme.
- Syllabus
- The specific subjects will be adjusted to the individually selected theme, as is appropriate for this kind of lecture-seminary.
