Course objectives

The goals are to educate a doctoral student in broad academic skills, and especially in scientific research leading to original publications and preparation of the doctoral thesis.

Learning outcomes

Students will be able to:
- read and understand literature in a given research area
- apply the gained knowledge in planning their own research plan
- conduct research in given area
- compile research publications summarizing reached results
- compile the dissertation thesis.

Syllabus

• The course content is highly individual, based on close collaboration and regular meetings between the student and supervisor (and consultant, if applicable).

Individual consultations with supervisor and consultant (if applicable).

Assessment methods

The supervisor and consultant (if applicable) evaluate the performance of the student.
