Syllabus

The seminar reviews selected topics in IT security in a greater depth. Students are expected to deliver solutions to several assignments and a term project. The project is essential to the final colloquy in the end of the term.
Topics of the seminars cover applications of cryptographic mechanisms, especially of the public key techniques.
Key management.
Authentication.
Security in communications and networks.
Personal security and professional ethics.
Role of standards and evaluation (criteria).
State restrictions and cryptography.
Up-to-date topics are also set during the term.
