Prerequisites
Courses PA174-Design of Digital Systems II, PAB171- Seminar on the architecture of digital systems are advisable source of necessary knowledges for this course.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Abstract
Main aim of this course is understand and master theoretical know ledges and practical virtuosity necessary for design vizual control of robotics cars. The lessons are specialized in particular into following topics:
- application of the modern design components;
- methodology of the modular systems;
- connecting of the external camera.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- explain the principle of assembling powerful and functionally reliable digital vizual control system;
- design a reliable digital system using contemporary design elements;
- work with external devices connected to digital systems;
- implement basic control and diagnostic tools into simple digital systems.
Key topics
  • - basic operations for image processing, especially "edge detection" (global / local adaptive filters).
  • - analysis of the calculation possibilities and methods of data access to the control microprocessor.
  • - image resolution and quality from NXP camcorder - white balance etc.
  • - definition of input parameters of the control algorithm. Verification of results.
