The course is physically and cognitively demanding. It requires a good knowledge of basic striking techniques, evasions, guards, and fundamental combative preparation.

Abstract
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the theory and practice of planning and implementing special combative preparation in self-defense. Students will learn the basic principles of creating and applying preparatory exercises, their importance for developing technical and fitness skills, and their application within the training of security forces.
Learning outcomes
1. Understands the concept of “drill exercises” and can explain their importance; 2. Understands the principles of creating preparatory exercises in self-defense; 3. Is able to describe and demonstrate 8 selected preparatory exercises for self-defense.

1- Introduction to principles of training exercises in self-defense. 2- Sample training exercises on various technical means (punches, kicks, throws, chokes, prying) 3- Principles of fitness training in self-defense 4- Theoretical and practical knowledge of training methodology with applications to exercise and training unit.
