Course objectives
A compulsory course of Kinanthropology is an introduction to the study of this scientific discipline. The aim is to build a knowledge base in the whole range of kinanthropological research.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course students will be able to
- use scientific terminology
- understand the development of scientific thinking
- to formulate research questions in the field of kinanthropology based on different paradigms
- distinguish subject and theory of kinanthropology, kinesiology, sports sciences, and other related disciplines
- to evaluate the subject of kinanthropology based on the broad knowledge
- define different dimensions of kinanthropology as a science
- to analyze and defend a wide range of kinanthropological professions
- understand and share ethical principles in kinanthropology
- include their own research topic in subdisciplines of kinanthropology

  • 1. Scientific terminology (science, hypothesis, theory, methods, paradigm, ...) 2. Evolution of science (ancient science, science in the Middle Ages, scientific revolution and modern science, contemporary science: neo-positivism, K. Popper, S. Kuhn, P. Feyerabend, ...) 3. Systematics of science and classification of kinanthropology 4. Development and concept of kinesiology 5. Development and concept of kinanthropology 6. Subject of kinanthropology (sport, physical activity, movement art, movement recreation, physical rehabilitation, physical education, ...) 7. Kinanthropology as a science, subdisciplines of kinanthropology 8. Kinanthropological professions 9. Ethics in Kinanthropology (mission of kinanthropology, ethics of physical activities, research and kinanthropology professions, ethical codes and commissions (Ethical Committee for Research at MU )) 10.
