Course objectives
The student will be able to demonstrate basic downhill skiing techniques.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge of downhill skiing techniques;
- distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate ski equipment;
- demonstrate the 4 elements of downhill skiing.
Syllabus
  • Downhill skiing: - arc in the plough - arc from the butt of a higher ski - basic parallel arc - carving arc - skiing history - safety in the mountains - ski equipment
