Course objectives
The aim of this course is to acquire theoretical knowledge in the field of complex medical rehabilitation in patients with neurology, in the spinal unit and in the department of intensive care (medicine) of clinical disciplines. Students are acquainted with current kinesiotherapeutic approaches, which will be subsequently applied in clinical practice.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- theoretical considerations in the field of medical rehabilitation in confrontation with clinical condition and medical findings;
- practical application of kinesiotherapeutic strategies and methodologies in neurology, spinal issues and the care of critically ill patients;
- establish a short and long term rehabilitation plan;
- evaluate the effect of physiotherapy intervention and overall rehabilitation treatment;
- other considerations related to follow-up (medical) treatment and the process of coordinated rehabilitation.
Syllabus
  • Lectures:
  • 01. Introduction to strategies through methodological procedures in neurorehabilitation.
  • 02. Strategies of medical rehabilitation in selected neurological diseases.
