The ability to complete a full-day physical activity on lower intensity walking (max. 25 km with 1000 m of elevation). Students need their own equipment - hiking shoes, rainproof jacket, day hiking backpack.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic principles of hiking, the basics of navigation and staying in nature through practical exercises.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
  • know the basic principles of hiking
  • understand principles of orientation in nature (map and GPS)
  • work with information about mountains, walking, leisure time, hiking

    Classes will be held on the days according to the schedule in IS MUNI. By enrolling in the course, students acknowledge that she/he will use their financial resources to cover transport to individual trips (the region around Brno) and associated costs.
