Course objectives
The aim of the subject is the application of work with the client within the framework of counseling in the field of nutrition and lifestyle. Further develop counseling for children and seniors. Apply the latest findings also in the form of AI into practice. The graduate of the course will be able to create a lifestyle change plan for a client from the general population of adults and children. Furthermore, he will be able to intervene with the client using therapeutic approaches. The graduate will also be able to evaluate whether the intervention was successful.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- know the procedures of working with the client in the area of ​​nutrition and lifestyle of the general population, seniors, children and adults;
- use appropriate tools for evaluating work with the client;
- identify a problem in the current lifestyle or nutritional style of a client from the general population;
- on the basis of a detailed anamnesis, propose a suitable plan for changing the client's nutrition or lifestyle (explain and apply the suggested measures, evaluate critically trending topics in the area of ​​lifestyle changes and justify their adequacy or inadequacy);
- argue against  fake new and myths in nutrition.

  • Lecture 1. Work with the client within the scope of changing lifestyle and nutrition.
  • 2. Prerequisites for the work of a preventionist.
  • 3. Procedures and principles in the analysis of the current state of the client.
  • 4. Specific diet programs and plans in children's nutrition.
  • 5. Specific dietary programs in the nutrition of seniors 1.
  • 6. Specific dietary programs in the nutrition of seniors 2.
  • 7. Diet procedures aimed at alternative directions 1.
  • 8. Diet procedures for alternative directions 2.
  • 9. Nutrition counseling during extreme diets.
  • 10. Nutrition counseling during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • 11. Eating disorders - diagnosis, help.
  • 12. Nutrition counseling with a special order (concentration, performance, etc.).
  • Seminar:
  • 1. Practical training of abilities and skills.
  • 2. Prerequisites for the work of a preventionist, comparison with other countries.
  • 3. Practical training in the analysis of the current state of the client.
