Course objectives
In this course students have the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge about neural activity system, the basic neurological syndromes and neurological examination structure.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
- list and explain the relationship between pathophysiological processes in the peripheral, central and locomotor systems and the basic disorders in this area;
- discuss the possible causes and consequences of damage to the nervous system;
- perform a basic neurological examination.
Syllabus
  • 01. Introduction, concept and content of neurology.
  • 02. Diagnostic procedures in neurology, neurological status.
  • 03. The other examination methods in neurology.
  • 04. Syndrome I and II. Motoneuron.
  • 05. Extrapyramidal syndrome.
  • 06. Cerebellar syndrome.
  • 07. Meningeal syndrome and the syndrome of intracranial hypertension.
  • 08. Spinal cord syndromes.
  • 09. Stem syndromes.
  • 10. Subcortical syndromes.
  • 11. Cortical syndromes.
  • 12. Phatic functions and their disorders.
  • 13. Sensitive syndromes.
  • 14. Vestibular syndromes.
