- Abstract
- The aim of the course is to understand the forms of regeneration and recovery in sport. Students will be able to describe the concept of regeneration, explain and describe the different forms and means of regeneration, analyze training loads and design a recovery plan. A sub-goal is to understand the forms of recovery within the return to sport load phase following injury.
- Learning outcomes
- The graduate of the course will be able to:
- explain the difference between passive and active regeneration;
- analyze training loads;
- suggest an appropriate type of recovery given the type of fatigue anticipated;
- discuss the choice of the selected recovery agents;
- explain the concept of recovery and select appropriate means for the return to full load phase - Key topics
