Course objectives

Softball is a team sport. The lessons are co-ed. It is a mixture of running,hitting, catching and tactics. The course includes the training of new individual game activities, the game playing and new theoretical knowledge.Studens are trained for the Czech university cup. The theory and rules are used in various game situations. The training structure and organisation, the theory and methodology of throwing, hitting, catching are included. All necessary sports equipment is available.

Syllabus

• Theory: - softball history, the difference between softball and baseball, international competitions and clubs - softball rules - safety measures, particular posts - one-year training period, structure and organisation of the training lesson - throwing - catching - hitting - preparatory activities in the gym and field - test of rules Training: - methodology of throwing - methodology of catching - methodology of hitting - methodology of running along particular posts - drill and games extending game acquisition and skills - game situations - methodology of striking
