Course objectives
The aim of this course is to gain information about possible injuries and illnesses on risk factors associated with long-term use of personal computers and sitting in front of the screen. Students should gain knowledge of how to deal with ergonomic working environment should be able to describe risk factors influencing the emergence of occupational diseases such as musculoskeletal diseases and should gain knowledge of how to prevent them adherence to the rinciples of safety and hygiene as well as sufficient compliance with the recovery in the workplace through education targeted employees.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to ergonomics - definition of ergonomics, basic ergonomics, special ergonomics. 2. Ergonomic evaluation of working systems - the basic criteria and parameters ergonomic evaluation work systems. 3. Sitting and working in a sitting position and the effect of sitting on the musculoskeletal system - the basic biomechanical and medical aspects, basic requirements for proper ergonomic work chair, dynamic sitting. 4. Working with a computer - Ergonomic requirements for work with the computer, medical aspects of the work with the computer. 5. Professionally conditional musculoskeletal conditions - cervicobrachial syndrome, cervikokraniální syndrome cervikokefalické syndromes, lumbosacral algic syndromes, syndrome Carpal tunnel epicondyitis radial humerus epicondyitis ulnaris of the humerus, and more. 6. Stress at work - stress, stressors, stress prevention in relation to the characteristics of the workload. 7. Mental-hygiene methods of mental hygiene. 8. Legislation and ergonomics - the most important legislative acts related to ergonomics. 9. Safety. 10. Compensatory exercises - basic applications of release, stretching, strengthening and breathing Exercise in the workplace. 11. Practical training in the use of assistive devices and workplace modifications I. 12. Practical training in the use of assistive devices and workplace modifications II. 13. Practical training in the use of assistive devices and workplace modifications III.
