This course is offered only as part of the compulsory physical education program. To enroll, students must be able to independently swim a continuous distance of at least 50 meters. The course is not intended for non-swimmers. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Abstract
- improve motor skills and overall physical fitness,
- promote a healthy lifestyle and self-confidence in the water,
- overcome fear of water and gain comfort while swimming,
- learn correct breathing techniques during swimming,
- become familiar with the basic swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly).
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- swim longer distances using multiple swimming techniques,
- move confidently and safely in the water,
- perform basic breathing techniques while swimming,
- execute fundamental swimming turns and diving starts,
- apply basic water rescue skills.

General note: Výuka plavání v bazénu TJ Tesla na Lesné. Studenti rozděleni v bazénu do drah podle výkonnosti, která je testována na první hodině výuky.

Swimming equipment: men - classic swimwear (no shorts, bermuda shorts, etc.) women - one-piece swimsuits (not two-pieces, bikinis, etc.) swimming goggles, swimming cap (not a requirement), towel.In the event that classes are cancelled by the instructor (e.g. due to illness or organizational reasons), the classes will be made up in the 13th week of the semester.
