Prerequisites
The unique opportunity to follow the diplomats lectures means that no prerequisities were set. An introductory lecture on the institution of the EU presidency will contribute to coordination of students comming from other disciplines.

Course objectives
The course offers a unique opportunity to follow performances by politicians, diplomats and experts who themselves actively participated in CZ PRES 2022.
Learning outcomes
he student will understand the principle of organization and implementation of the EU Presidency
He will be able to analyze the key elements of program preparation and its implementation, including a description of the factors that influence the success of the role of the EU rotating chairman.
He will be able to formulate questions and describe important elements of the lessons.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Kurz je on line, je postaven na pravidelných setkáních vždy během pátečního dopoledne v platformě MS Teams. On line forma umožňuje účast expertů z praxe, kteří jsou hlavní náplní kurzu.
  • Vstupní organizační pokyny - vysvětlení principu "redakčních týmů"
  • Vstupní přednáška doc. Kanioka o instituci předsednictví v EU
  • Následují přednášky expertů vlády ČR, Úřadu vlády, SZ v Bruselu apod. (ministr pro evropské záležitosti, náměstci, zástupci stálého zastoupení, ředitelé útvarů apod. Linie řazení expertů kopíruje pyramidu řízení počínaje politickým vedením a konče realizací pěti priorit předsednictví ČR v EU.
  • I. strategie a koncepce předsednictví: ministr jako reprezentant vlády ČR
  • II. realizace: logistika; role SZ; tvorba programu; vyjednávání a komunikace
  • III. programové priority CZ PREZ : uprchlická krize a poválečná obnova Ukrajiny; energetická bezpečnost; posílení evr. obranných kapacit a bezpečnosti kybernetického prostoru; strategická odolnost evropské ekonomiky; odolnost demokratických institucí

Teaching methods
Watching online presentations by experts, preparing extracts in the form of working notes, discussions.
Assessment methods
Final test in IS. The test will be built on the basis of working notes - records created by teams of editors (each guest will have a team of editors to ask questions and write working notes). Attendance (online participation) is mandatory.
