Předmět seznamuje studenty bakalářského studia se základními souvislostmi a nejdůležitějšími body židovsko-arabského a izraelsko-palestinského konfliktu od začátku 20. století až do současnosti.

Předmět probíhá ve formě přednášek a seminářů. Je ukončen zápočtem. Podmínkami absolvování předmětu jsou: - aktivní účast v hodinách, - průběžný test znalostí, který je třeba absolvovat k napsání závěrečného testu - závěrečný zápočtový test spojený s napsáním eseje
