Abstract
introduce students into an idea of experimental research in political science discuss applications of experimental methodologies in the PS deepen students understanding on research into causality students being able to design, proces and interpret their own experiments

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Participation in a class is a necessary precondition for course completition (two no shows allowed). The grading consists of position paper (15%), project (45%) and final exam (40%).

POL 565 je určena motivovaným zájemcům a zájemkyním, kterým vyhovují následující podmínky: - kurs nabízí uvedení do progresivní oblasti experimentální politologie, pokud víme, není na jiné středoevropské univerzitě vyučován - práce v kursu je průběžná, předpokládá se aktivní zapojení během semestru a průběžná kreativní práce s poznatky, které v kursu získají. - je potřeba být ochoten číst v angličtině - součástí kursu je i návrh vlastního experimentu, nejlepší design bude prakticky realizován - považují politologii (nebo vědní obor, který studují) za interdisciplinární vědu, schopnou čerpat například z psychologie či ekonomie. V ak. roce 2016/17 je kurs podpořen z Fondu rozvoje MU (FR MU). Nejlepší výzkum, který v jeho rámci studenti navrhnou, bude prakticky realizován a jeho autoři budou mít možnost se na něm podílet, včetně navazujícího rukopisu publikace. Připravena jsou pro ně stipendia až do celkové výše 15.000 Kč.
