- Course objectives
- This seminar will investigate how environmental communication processes like stakeholders meetings, environmental impact assessments, environmental education processes, environmental political debates can be facilitated. It will look into different possibilities of programming communication about environment, the "why"s and it will give students the chance to investigate and train their own facilitation skills. Goals - Participants know what facilitation is - Participants understand the complexity of process dynamics - Participants can programme simple environmental communication processes - Participants know basic technical tools in facilitation - Participants can facilitate in simple communication settings

Students are expected to attend all sessions, because facilitation is not something that can be learned from books, but only by interaction.
The methods used will be highly interactive and participative. The seminar blocks will not exist of lectures, but of interactive group work. Also, students need to count with intensive homework between the seminar sessions.
The complete seminar will take place in English.
The course will be examined orally on the basis of the work done during the blocks and background literature. - Language of instruction
