- Course objectives
- The course is based on the discussion about the up-to-date issues of the European Union and the candidate countries. At the end of the course, students should be able to understand the development of European integration process as well as the contemporary processes of the EU. During the course papers and the documents related to the European integration will be analyzed (will be specified at the start of the course). Students are expected to participate in the discussion and also to follow the EU related news (see the literature).

- Assessment methods
- The course is finished with credits. To acquire credits an obligatory attendance (min. 70 % of the total seminar time) and an active participation in the course are necessary. Students are also asked to write two opinion essays to the extent of 3 pages on a theme related to the chosen issue of the contemporary processes of the European Union. Deadline for the submission of the first essay is the mid-term (7th April), of the second the last week of term (19th May).
