The students are required to reach at least inter-mediate level of general English before they enter the course. All language skills will be practised with special focus on English for specific purposes and English for academic purposes. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- Students will be able to talk about their future profession of a lawyer in general. They will be able to define key concepts and use specialized language in order to discuss, point out and explain the main differences between Czech and Anglo-American systems of law, especially in the following areas: What is law, prescriptive and descriptive law, customs and laws; Sources of modern law, common law systems, continental systems; Civil and public law, main categories of civil and public law; Judicial institutions, English courts; Lawyers at work, education, range of work, legalese.
