- Course objectives
- The goal of this course is to introduce to students current issues of privacy and personal data protection in the context of information and communication technologies.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- understand basic issues privacy and personal data protection in the context of ICT
- understand the differences in regulatory framework between privacy protection and personal data protection
- know relevant case law of European and Czech courts
- analyze and solve particular problems of privacy protection in the context of right to information and freedom of speech
- analyze and evaluate particular problems of use of surveillance
- analyze and solve particular problems of personal data protection online – applicable law and jurisdiction
- analyze and solve particular problems of personal data protection online in connection with trans-border data flow
- analyze and solve particular problems of personal data protection online – how to set the system of personal data processing in accordance with law and what is the life cycle of personal data in specific areas
- analyze and evaluate particular challanges of smart technologies - Syllabus
