Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to apply environmental law in relation with activities of public authorities.
Syllabus
  • 1. Environmental Law – Czech, European, International – system and mutual relations. 2. The right to favorable environment and rights of access to Information about environment 3. Organizational measures for ensuring Environment Law. 4. Public participation and environment protection – Aarhus convention, types of participation. 5. IPPC. 6. Environmental Impact Assessment. Strategic Environmental Assessment. 7. Environmental protection in processes according to Building Act. 8. Liability in Environmental Law (especially administrative liability).

Teaching methods
Lectures. Powerpoint presentations will be used and students will be given an interactive approach during the lecture. Hence students will be given a chance to ask questions regarding the subject of the lecture. Class discussions. E-learning.
Assessment methods
Colloquium. Combination of written part (semestral work on topic assigned by teacher) and oral part (in the form of discussion on semestral work and question selected by lot).
