Abstract

The course deals with conflict of laws in the area of contracts. The institutes of choice of law, restriction of choice, substitute law, imperative rules will be discussed.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will be able to: - explain the doctrines concerning the choice of law; - explain ways of alternative solutions in the absence of choice of law; - analyze mandatory standards (imperative rules); - draw up a comparative-type study in the area of the choice of law.

I. Studenti denního studia navštěvují plánované konzultace a aktivně připravují dílčí výstupy včetně rešerže literatury. Konkrétní téma je určeno plánem pro semestr, který je studentovi dán na prvé konzultaci. Student má na výběr. Zadanou studii může zpracovat jako seminární práci, nebo ji uplatnit jako písemný výstup na konferenci či jako článek v časopise. Povinně píší studii studenti kombinovaného studia.
