Course objectives
The course is an insight into German civil law. Legal topics are taught through basic case studies and the terminology is practised in tasks related to specific areas of law. At the end of the course, students will be able to solve basic cases using rules of German civil law. They will understand the gist of video recordings from court hearings (level C1), provide summary and give reasons for a decision.
