Informace učitele
Criminal Practice & Law (EU Focus) enables a student to gain an understanding of how criminal liability arises in relation to a range of specific criminal offences and to understand how to present these cases as a criminal advocate in the courtroom. It equips a student for practice as an advocate and gives an understanding of the requirements in relation to investigating a criminal law matter. The assessment strategy is in place in order to enable a student to gain academic understanding of the substantive law and how such law ‘works in practice’. Legal Ethics will be explained and a student will accommodate and assimilate the reasons why rigid ethical practice is necessary in the criminal law discipline. A student will gain specific criminal law legal skills and benefit from knowledge of the general workings of the criminal litigation process, coupled with criminal law offences, in contemporary EU legal society.
