- Course objectives
- In this course, students will examine the relationships among legal, political and business environments. We will discuss sources of law and their effect on business decisions as well as the constitutional constraints on commerce. Finally, a practice-based perspective of common issues in business will be addressed.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
- Understand and explain the US Legal System and Trial process
- Work with information on US tort law and how it affects business planning
- Make reasoned decisions about how to protect intellectual property
