- Abstract
- The course deepens the practical skills in using hand instruments acquired in the previous semester. The primary emphasis is on precise instrumentation techniques with a complete set of Gracey curettes, universal curettes, and the specific use of mini-curettes in hard-to-reach areas. Students will master advanced subgingival treatment techniques and individual instrumentation planning for periodontal patients.
- Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student:
demonstrates advanced instrumentation techniques with a complete set of Gracey curettes;
knows the appropriate uses of universal curettes and minicurettes;
designs and practically implements an individual instrumentation plan based on clinical findings;
independently performs instrument sharpness testing and subsequent sharpening.
