Course objectives
The goal is to prepare students following the lectures and practice for the profession paramedic, a member of the crews of emergency medical services team or emergency department of hospitals.
Learning outcomes
Student gradually acquires the practical skills necessary to use techniques and techniques used to manage all types of urgency, life-threatening conditions and other serious conditions in pre-hospital and hospital emergency care.
Syllabus
  • Practical training in the use of terrestrial medical rescue equipment, basic and advanced ways of ensuring basic life functions.
  • Practice of dressing techniques, use of all fixation, transport and rescue procedures and aids, transport positions.
  • First contact with the patient, record of anamnesis and basic examination of acute conditions, work with documentation. Secured and targeted transport, handover to the hospital.
  • Solving model situations using and verifying the correct application of acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Teaching methods
Discussion, practical training, practical case studies. Participation in short-term blocks - internships at regional health care emergency services (dispatching, exit departments) and centers focusing on the issue of other components of the IRS.
