- At the end of this course the student will understand the basic knowledge of the principles of human nutrition;will know food-based dietary guidelines.

- Food choice : internal and external factors and the food environment.
- Food - based guidelines - dietary recommendations.
- Breast - feeding.
- Energy intake and requirements.
- Fluis in the diet.
- Proteins: needs and sources.
