Course objectives
This subject is conceived as theoretically practical with majority in practical activities. Practice takes place in a specialized classroom. The target is to obtain knowledge and skills important to realization of nursing activities in consequences with holism, rights acceptation and observance of health and safety rules. Subject objectives- student will be able to: - apply obtained knowledge and skills in laboratory conditions, after that in clinical practice; - be aware of health and safety rules; - respect and be aware of nursing practice standards for each diagnostically therapeutic process;
Learning outcomes
The Student will after completing the course able to: - provide basic nursing care for the client in domestic and constitutional environment - carry out activities according to the applicable hygiene and epidemiological principles - ensure the care of the client during diagnostic activities - apply to all forms of drugs - care for the client in the perioperative period.
Syllabus
  • Module subject: - care for client’s environment during health and illness; - care for basic human needs; - taking, transport and storage of biological material; - rules and processes for blood transfusion and other blood derivates; - physiological functions monitoring and recording; - diagnostically therapeutic nurse activities – nursing process for saturation of hygienic human need of alimentation and safeness; - Practicing of taking over, checking and storage of medical materials, manipulation, disinfection and sterilization. Process of the supply control; - care for women during application of all drug forms; - care for women in peri-surgial period, with stoma, incontinence; - care for women during puncture and endoscopies;

Teaching methods
Audiovisual prezentation, demonstration, discussion, group work – laboratory skills practising.
Assessment methods
Type of completion: Exam Evaluation of students – completion conditions: 100% presence in practise lessons, aktivity. During class student writes about 8 tests for successful completion is considered to be at least 50 % success . End of the period the student takes a practical , whose successful completion is a prerequisite to enable the oral exam.
