- Course objectives
- This subject is conceived as theoretically practical with majority in practical activities. Practice takes place in a specialized classroom. The target is to obtain knowledge and skills important to realization of nursing activities in consequences with holism, rights acceptation and observance of health and safety rules. Subject objectives- student will be able to: - apply obtained knowledge and skills in laboratory conditions, after that in clinical practice; - be aware of health and safety rules; - respect and be aware of nursing practice standards for each diagnostically therapeutic process;
- Learning outcomes
- The Student will after completing the course able to: - provide basic nursing care for the client in domestic and constitutional environment - carry out activities according to the applicable hygiene and epidemiological principles - ensure the care of the client during diagnostic activities - apply to all forms of drugs - care for the client in the perioperative period.
- Syllabus
- Content of the tutorial: • Care of the client / client environment, care unit and its equipment, classification of basic treatment units. • Care of hospital bed, bedside aids • Investigation and treatment positions. Midwifery care, disinfection, sterilization • Medical devices, distribution, types. • Care for the hygiene of children and adults. • Treatment of the client with sores, soreness, prevention. • Client mobility, physical and mental activity, basal stimulation concept • Patient and adult care • Patient and adult nursing responsibilities • Oxygen Therapy • Parenteral Drug Administration • Infusion Therapy • Pulmonary drug administration • Infusion therapy • Transfusion • Surgery Nursing • Care for Wounds, Wound Management Management • Care of the client with stoma, management of stoma.

- Audiovisual prezentation, demonstration, discussion, group work – laboratory skills practising.

- Type of completion: Exam 70% success rate with continuous tests (test for each unit taught), oral and practical examination of the ballot issue.
