Course objectives
Basic psychotherapeutical approaches - theoretical and self-experiential part. Psychological problems and principles of psychological approach in every medical branch, particularly palliative ones.
Syllabus
  • Definition of psychotherapy.
  • Psychotherapeutical approach, systematic psychotherapy.
  • Individual, group and family psychotherapy, independent (co-operative) groups.
  • Bases of behavioral and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
  • Intervention during crisis.
  • Methods of relaxation.
  • Problems of work with pain, depression, anxiety, defense mechanisms.
  • Providing information, adverse prognosis.
  • Problems of dying, death from the aspect of patient, therapist, medical team.
  • Psychological approach to patient's relatives, survivors.
  • Psychological problems of individual branches.
