Students can understand and define individual phases of the nursing process at a concrete disease. Students can understand nursing care of patients who suffer from diseases of the cardiovascular system, lungs and bronchi, urinary system, metabolism, gastrointestinal system, and endocrine system, of patients before or after an operation to define specifics of care of clients who suffer from oncological diseases, patients with sense disorder, mental disorders and patient in geriatrics department.

Course objectives
Students can understand and define individual phases of the nursing process at a concrete disease. Students can understand nursing care of patients who suffer from diseases of the cardiovascular system, lungs and bronchi, urinary system, metabolism, gastrointestinal system, and endocrine system, of patients before or after an operation to define specifics of care of clients who suffer from oncological diseases, patients with sense disorder, mental disorders and patients in geriatrics department.
Learning outcomes
The students can: - understand nursing care of clients with diseases of the blood circulation, lungs, and bronchi, urinary tract and kidneys, metabolic disorders, endocrine glands, digestive system, - understand patient care before and after surgery, - define the specifics of care for clients with cancer, sensory impairment, mental disorders, and geriatric clients. - Understand the specifics of nursing care of the patient in the ophthalmic department (ophthalmology and optometry departments). - To provide basic nursing care in ophthalmology. - communicate and work with persons with special needs (blind, deaf, persons with mental illness).

Nursing process in a client with sensory perception and communication disorder. Nursing process in a client with oncological disease. Nursing process for a client in a geriatric ward. Nursing process in a client with respiratory disease. Nursing process for a client with circulatory and vascular disease. The nursing process for a client with a disease of the digestive system. Nursing process for a client with a disease of the excretory system. The nursing process for a client with metabolic disease. Nursing process for a client with thyroid disease. Nursing process in a client before and after surgery. Nursing process in a client with musculoskeletal disease. Nursing process in a client with a disorder of consciousness. Nursing process in a client with stroke. Specifics of the nursing care of a client in the eye department.
